Veronica Goveas

Veronica Goveas is an undergraduate student currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at UW Madison. With a passion for research, Veronica has had the opportunity to work with leading labs at the Medical College of Wisconsin Cardiovascular Center (Department of Pediatric Cardiology) and the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center (Department of Pediatrics) before joining the Ciucci Lab. Beyond her academic pursuits, Veronica enjoys staying up to date with the latest advancements in molecular biology and genetics. She finds fulfillment in volunteering at the UW Health Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and serving as a tutor for young women in STEM, nurturing the next generation of scientists. Looking ahead, Veronica aspires to pursue a medical degree, aiming to seamlessly integrate clinical practice with research to advance patient care. She firmly believes in the power of interdisciplinary collaboration to drive innovation and make meaningful contributions to healthcare.
