Shuntaro Soejima

Shuntaro Soejima joined the Ciucci Lab in October 2024 from Japan. He graduated from Nagasaki University Medical School in 2015, after that, he worked as a resident doctor for 2 years.  He worked as an Otolaryngologist in Japan and got a Philosophy Degree in September 2024. His focus was on head and neck cancer when he was a clinician, he was also engaged in basic research about swallowing disorders when he was a graduate school student. In the future, he hopes to develop treatments for dysphagia that happens after cancer treatment, from both a clinical and basic aspect. He enjoys workout and running in his spare time.
